Velvet Sun is a single-estate, anaerobically fermented washed Arabica crafted from carefully selected cherries of the SL9 and Chandragiri varietals grown at our award-winning Elkhill Estates in Coorg. Through a carefully managed fermentation and slow drying process, the coffee develops its distinctive citrus brightness, gentle sweetness, and beautifully syrupy texture while preserving remarkable clarity and balance in the cup. The name reflects the harmonious interplay between its radiant citrus character and the velvety richness that defines its elegant and lingering finish.

Rich, vibrant, and beautifully composed, this coffee reveals layers of orange marmalade and chocolate carried by a smooth, syrupy body. Bright citrus sweetness brings freshness and clarity, while deeper chocolate notes lend warmth, depth, and balance to the cup. Soft lingering sweetness and refined aromatics accompany a long, elegant finish, creating a cup of remarkable richness, harmony, and poise.

Patiently crafted through an extended anaerobic washed process, this coffee begins with carefully selected, fully ripe cherries that are pulped and fermented with their mucilage intact for 36 hours. This controlled fermentation enhances sweetness, body, and complexity while preserving remarkable clarity and balance in the cup. Following washing and a secondary dry fermentation, the parchment is slowly dried on raised beds for approximately 18 days, allowing its character to develop gradually and harmoniously. The result is a beautifully refined coffee distinguished by its sweetness, structure, and elegant depth of flavour.
