Dark Gold is a single-estate Arabica–Robusta blend crafted from carefully selected lots grown at our award-winning Elkhill Estates in Coorg. Bringing together a washed Arabica and a natural Robusta, each processed separately through carefully controlled anaerobic fermentation, the blend preserves the distinctive character and contribution of both coffees within the final cup. The name reflects the harmonious interplay between brightness and depth, where vibrant citrus notes meet rich sweetness and structure, creating a coffee of remarkable intensity, balance, and refinement.

Rich, bold, and beautifully balanced, this coffee reveals layers of bright citrus and cocoa carried by a smooth, syrupy body. Vibrant citrus notes bring freshness and lift, while deeper cocoa undertones lend warmth, sweetness, and depth to the cup. A lingering finish, marked by soft sweetness and refined aromatics, creates a profile of remarkable richness, structure, and harmony that unfolds gracefully from the first sip to the last.

Dark Gold brings together two individually processed lots from Elkhill Estates, each developed to its optimum expression before blending.

The washed Arabica undergoes a carefully controlled 36-hour fermentation followed by washing, a brief secondary dry fermentation, and slow drying on raised beds for 18 days, enhancing sweetness, clarity, and structure within the cup.

The natural Robusta undergoes an extended 72-hour fermentation before being slowly dried on raised beds for approximately 25 days, allowing its body, sweetness, and depth to develop gradually and harmoniously.

Once each lot has reached its full potential, the coffees are meticulously blended to create a cup distinguished by its richness, balance, and refined complexity.
